Typhoon

As typhoon Haikui passed through southern Taiwan I, once again changed my plans. My hope to travel down the east coast of the country, in a clockwise direction, didn’t seem like the best idea for the time. Instead I took a train to the west side of the country hoping that the weather, still extremely wet and unpredictable, would be a bit easier to navigate.

Taichung itself was a reasonably sized metropolitan city. I enjoyed the evening food markets on my first night however the rain picked up significantly on my second day. I used the poor weather as an opportunity to see a movie in a cinema, something I hadn’t done for months.

For the first time on this trip I forgot to take any photographs whist in the city. So, instead, here is a drawing of me watching 'Oppenheimer' in the cinema.
